I've established Movement Matters with a focus on providing wellness, healing & growth for the mind and body. During my recovery through chemotherapy and radiation I developed a positive and understanding relationship with my body with I attribute greatly to moving my body and pranayama (breath work). I’ve found my personal practice to be nourishing, which has improved my emotional and physical well-being. It also gave me a sense of control during a time when I had none. After cancer I truly stepped into a new mindset and lifestyle. For my physical health I dove head first into my yoga practice, clean eating, paddle boarding, swimming, hiking and snow shoeing. For my mental health I like being with my kula (community), journaling, reading, painting, and listening to music.
